This Exemplar Global Certified Online & Integrated ISO 14001:2015 + ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor Training Course (via Blended Learning) will provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to perform first, second and third-party audits of EH&S management systems against ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, in accordance with ISO 19011:2018 and ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015, as applicable.

Each Learner will complete c. 18hrs of online & self-paced modules prior to just four days via virtual workshops (incl. CQI & IRCA Examinations).

Learning Objectives

  1. Explain the purpose of environmental and OH&S management systems, standards and audits
  2. Explain the purpose of third-party certification, and the business and societal benefits of improving performance of the environmental and occupational health and safety management systems
  3. Explain the role of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up a management system audit in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021, as appropriate
  4. Plan, conduct, report and follow-up an audit of an environmental and OH&S management system to establish conformity (or otherwise) with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021, as appropriate

Course Certification

This course is certified by Exemplar Global. Successful completion of this course will entitle each Learner to a digital Certificate of Achievement covering both ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditing & ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditing.

Assessment Methodology

In order to successfully complete this blended course, each Learner will need to:

  1. Prior to the virtual classroom modules, each Learner must complete the online & self-paced course modules and obtain 70% or higher in the final assessment (s) by the required deadline set in advance of the given classroom dates you are registered for
  2. Fully attend the virtual classroom element as 100% attendance is required
  3. Obtain 70% or higher in the course continuous assessment during the virtual classroom modules
  4. Each Learner must obtain 70% or higher in two, separate examinations (via eAssessment). First is a 2-hour CQI & IRCA EMS Lead Auditor eAssessment, followed by a shorter 1hr 40min CQI & IRCA OHSMS Lead Auditor eAssessment. Both are completed securely online (under strict examination conditions). This can be completed from home, work or another suitable location that meets the examination conditions.

Course Entry Criteria

CQI & IRCA recommend that each Learner have the following prior knowledge before completing this course. Its important to note that the Learners understanding of the prior knowledge requirements will be tested as part of the course continuous assessment and final written examination.

Work Experience (Recommended)

  • It is recommended that anyone wishing to attend this course has some work-based experience in Environmental, Health & Safety Management (based on ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) or Internal Auditing in advance of registering for this training course

ISO Standards (Required)

  • Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 and the commonly used terms associated with each standard is a key pre-requisite in attending this course. Without this knowledge, the course & final examination may be very challenging.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 may be gained by completing a relevant CQI and IRCA Certified Foundation training course or equivalent

Management Systems (Recommended)

  • The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) Cycle
  • The core elements of a management system and the interrelationship between top management responsibility, policy, objectives, planning, implementation, measurement, review and continual improvement.

Occupational Health and Safety Management (Recommended)

Environmental Management (Recommended)

Fluency in spoken and written English (Required)

  • For participants whose first language is not English, we recommend a minimum English language competency of IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent) for successful completion of the program. This is not assessed by Comply Guru in advance & each participant must self-assess their competency.

Printed Copy of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 (Required)

  • Each participant should bring a printed clean copy of each standard with them to the course. This is not provided by Comply Guru.
